Inviting editors
From your blog's settings, you can invite editors by email. Each person gets their own access, so everyone works under their own account — cleaner and safer than passing around a single set of credentials.
Working together
With a team in place, multiple people can contribute:
- Writers can draft posts in The editor, in either WYSIWYG or Markdown mode.
- Editors can review and refine before anything goes live.
- The right people can deploy when a post is ready.
This makes Blog CMS a good fit for founders working with a freelance writer, or a team that splits writing, editing, and publishing across people.
Roles and permissions
Roles control who can do what — most importantly, who can publish versus who can only draft. That separation lets you bring in contributors to write without handing over the ability to push content live. When a draft is ready, someone with publishing rights can deploy it (see Deploying your blog).
A simple workflow
- Invite your writers and editors.
- Writers draft posts and add images, tables, and SEO details.
- An editor or owner reviews the draft.
- Someone with publishing rights deploys.
Because writing is free under the pay-to-publish model, your team can draft as much as they like; only deploying depends on an active plan — see Plans and billing.
Keeping things tidy
- Give each contributor their own invite rather than sharing a login.
- Use draft-only access for guest or freelance writers.
- Reserve publishing rights for the people responsible for what goes live.
