Deploying your blog

Ship fast static, SEO-optimized pages to your domain with one click.

Deploying is the moment your work goes live. Blog CMS renders your posts to fast static HTML and publishes them to your own domain — no servers to manage and no build steps to babysit.

What "Deploy" does

When you hit Deploy, Blog CMS:

  1. Renders your published posts to static, SEO-optimized pages.
  2. Generates OG images and applies your chosen theme.
  3. Updates your sitemap and robots.txt automatically.
  4. Ships everything to your connected domain.

Because the output is static HTML, your pages load fast and hold up under traffic.

Before you deploy

A quick pre-flight check:

  • Your post is marked as published (not just a draft).
  • SEO details are filled in — see SEO essentials.
  • Your domain is connected — see Custom domains.
  • You have an active trial or paid plan.

Pay-to-publish

The dashboard and writing tools are free, but deploying requires an active 14-day trial or a paid plan. This keeps the writing experience open to everyone while publishing stays tied to a plan. If your trial has ended, you'll be prompted to choose Yearly or Lifetime — see Plans and billing.

Subdomain or subfolder

You choose where your blog lives:

  • Subdomain: blog.yoursite.com.
  • Subfolder: yoursite.com/blog.

Both are fully supported and both deploy the same fast static pages. The setup differs slightly — a DNS record for subdomains, or a proxy rule for subfolders — covered in Custom domains.

After deploying

Once live:

  • Search engines can crawl your pages, helped by the auto-generated sitemap and robots.txt.
  • Analytics begins recording privacy-first, cookieless visits.
  • Any Lead capture forms start collecting subscribers.

Re-deploying

Every time you publish new posts or edit existing ones, deploy again to push the changes live. Deploys are quick, so it's fine to ship often. Older content stays in place and only what changed gets updated.

Troubleshooting

If a deploy doesn't appear:

  • Confirm your domain's DNS or proxy settings match the Custom domains guide.
  • Check that the post is published, not a draft.
  • Verify your plan is active.
