Quickstart

This guide takes you from a fresh account to a live post. The whole flow takes only a few minutes, and your 14-day free trial covers publishing while you try it out.

1. Create your blog

After signing up, create your first blog from the dashboard. Give it a name and pick a starting theme — you can change the theme later from Themes. Each blog is a separate space with its own posts, settings, and domain.

2. Write your first post

Open the editor and start typing. You can use the rich WYSIWYG mode or switch to Markdown mode if you prefer — both produce the same post. Add a heading, a couple of paragraphs, and maybe an image by dragging it straight into the editor. See The editor and Images and media for everything the editor can do.

3. Add SEO details

Fill in the post title and let the AI-assisted tools suggest a meta description and metadata. Blog CMS also generates an OG image automatically, so your post looks polished when shared. SEO essentials covers how to fine-tune this.

4. Connect your domain

Point your blog at a subdomain like blog.yoursite.com or a subfolder like yoursite.com/blog. You'll add a DNS record (for subdomains) or a small proxy rule (for subfolders). Full instructions live in Custom domains.

5. Deploy

When you're happy, hit Deploy. Blog CMS renders your post to fast static HTML and ships it to your connected domain, along with an updated sitemap and robots.txt. Publishing requires an active trial or paid plan — see Plans and billing.

What happens next

• Your post is live and indexable by search engines.
• Analytics starts collecting privacy-first, cookieless visit data immediately.
• You can add a subscribe form to start collecting emails — see Lead capture.
